MINUTES
LITI&NMI&MM
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Malone.
Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
FORMALIZE A LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE
The Assistant City Administrator presented a proposal to finalize the Legislative Committee. She
provided background information, reviewed tasks for the proposed committee, and proposed
membership.
Mayor Fischer recognized that they formalized the Personnel Committee earlier this year and are
now following that path with another committee.
Miller commented that he agrees with this action and recognized that Kwapick is a great fit with
his experience. He stated that if the other members of the Council can assist, the committee
should reach out to them.
Malone noted the task that the committee should provide recommendations on personnel
policies and asked if that is an overlap with the Personnel Committee. The Assistant City
Administrator commented that it was a typo that carried over from the previous committee
format and will be removed.
Mayor Fischer stated that previously the city had always had the position that it would fund
things itself, but given the bigger scopes and projects, it is important to continue to reach out for
additional funding for projects that have regional benefit.
Kwapick believed that this will help the city in the long run. He recognized that bonding and
capital requests are important, but this committee can also review and provide input to the
Council on policies and State Statute.
Malone introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2026-7-99 — FORMALIZING THE STRUCTURE OF THE EXISTING
LITTLE CANADA LEGISLATIVE COMMITTEE, REMOVING ITEM A UNDER DUTIES
FROM THE RESOLUTION
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Miller.
Ayes (5).
