MINUTES <br />Planning Commission <br />Sept. 11, 1986 <br />Edgerton Lund reported that his contractor stated that the lot was graded <br />Drainage to meet the City's Code requirements. Lund reported that his lot <br />Problem is no higher or lower than the adjacent lot to the south. <br />Mr. Herkenhoff recommended that the Council review the Lund drainage <br />problem and try to work with the property owner and contractor to <br />get the problem resolved correctly and instruct the Engineer to <br />review this matter before the next meeting and also keep the <br />property owner informed. <br />Political <br />Signs • <br />Adjourn <br />Motion seconded by Mr. Perlinger. <br />Motion carried 6 - 0. <br />The City Planner reported that the City currently allows political <br />signs of a smaller size than most other cities. Most cities allow <br />political signs 8 square feet in size in residential areas, and the <br />City currently allows 4 square feet, and 16 square feet in other <br />areas while the City currently allows 12 square feet. <br />The Planner pointed out that during the recent Sheriff's election <br />there were many non - conforming signs around the City. <br />Mr. Costa recommended approval of the proposed text amendment <br />increasing the size of political signs to 8 square feet for residential <br />areas and 16 square feet for other areas. <br />Motion seconded by Mr. DeLonais. <br />Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />,Mr. Davison abstained. <br />Mr. Costa recommended the meeting be adjourned. <br />Seconded by Mr. DeLonais. <br />Motion carried 6 - 0. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:30 P.M. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Kathleen Glanzer <br />Recording Secretary <br />Page -5- <br />
