Hardy reported that he is willing to conform to whatever <br />CUP restrictions the City wants to place on the property. <br />wont.) <br />The Planner reported that the City can limit the number of cars <br />sold at retail, however, enforcement is a concern. The Planner <br />stated that if mr. Hardy decided to have retail sales on the <br />site, it would he difficult to notice this. <br />Mr. Hardy pointed out that the site does not lend itself to <br />retail sales and it was not his intent to have retail sales on <br />the site. <br />Mrs. Timmons asked how cars would be delivered to the site and in <br />what quantities. <br />Mr. Hardy replied that cars come in on transport trucks generally <br />8 or 10 at a tine. Usually the cars would be delivered and sold <br />the same day. Cars would be delivered directly to the dealer in <br />some cases. <br />Vr. Davison asked about the moratorium the City had in place for <br />issuance of used car sales licenses. <br />The 01anner replied that this moratorium was lifted after the City <br />amended the ordinance with regard to used car sales. <br />Timmons asked about hours of operation. <br />Hardy replied that his usual hours are 9 to 5. <br />The Planner did not feel that the business would present a problem <br />on the site, however, stated that the terms of the conditional use <br />permit will have to he worked out so that the business does not <br />develop into a retail operation. The Planner suggested: that he <br />get together with the applicant to work out the details and suggested <br />that the matter be tabled until this is done. <br />Mr. DeLonais asked if there was adequate rood on the site for landscaping. <br />The Planner replied that there was and that he has been discussing <br />this with 4rt Ryan. <br />Mr. Hardy indicated that Mr. Pyan stated that he will landscape the <br />property in the spring. <br />Mrs. Timmons questioned why the request should he tabled and pointed <br />out that the applicant has indicated a willincness to conform to <br />any requirements the City imposes. <br />The 'lanner stated that he would like the opportunity to review the <br />request further and work out details with the applicant. <br />Page -7- <br />
