4 <br />Ths foregoing statements surely speak for themselves in <br />terms of respect for legal and ecological requirements, and of <br />responsible behavior to the community and the neighborhood. <br />As for the repairs to that disastrous leak, they were, <br />admittedly, done by two untrained men using experimental pro- <br />cedures on unfamiliar materials. This, also, speaks for itself. <br />I have the deno itions of Er. Bell, i.,.. Veilleux, and Per. <br />Graczyk with me. If the Commission wishes to see them, they <br />may do so. <br />A <br />I realize this is getting to be.ivery lengthy letter, but <br />the issue involved is so important to my family that I ask you <br />to bear with me. <br />In 1976 the fuel oil was gone from our house and land. Nr. <br />Veilleux and Mr. Graczyk had been pumping it out of our yard for <br />some two years. (For the first year they were averaging 100 gal- <br />lons a day). We felt we could safely move home again, took out <br />a mortgage to cover the repairs- -the original mortgage had been <br />paid off just 2 months before we were forced to vacate- -and began <br />the WAR' <br />During the years the house was empty, it had been <br />vandalized repeatedly and had deteriorated badly. It was almost <br />beyond repair and we would have torn it down if the cost of buy- <br />ing a new house had not been beyond our means, as it was. <br />The deciding factor in our repairing the existing house was <br />our faith in the'declared intention of the Planning Commission <br />of Little Canada not to allow any further expansions and to en- <br />force the 200 foot buffer zone.
