Minutes <br />City Council <br />(Cont'd.) <br />October 11, 1978 <br />Engineer Carley reported that the drainage problems on County <br />Road B2 and on the Jenny Costa property on Centerville Road <br />were problems of the State Highway Depz'trpent. Council stated <br />that they were sure the drainage plans of'the State Highway <br />Department for the County Road B2 area were never approved by <br />the City of Little Canada. Mayor Valento also stated that he <br />felt that the problem with the Costa property is the Highway <br />Department's culvert. <br />hr. Valento introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78 -10 -376 - TURNING OVER THE DRAINAGE <br />PROBLEMS ON CARLA LANE TO TIfE COUNTY, THE DRAINAGE <br />PROBLEMS ON COUNTY ROAD B2 TO THE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT, <br />AND THE DRAINAGE PROBLEMS ON THE JENNY COSTA PROPERTY <br />ON CEN'TERVITJY ROAD TO THE HIGHWAY DEPARTMENT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. DeBace. <br />Ayes (5) Messrs. Valenta, DeBace, Hanson, Nadeau and Jespersen. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 4, Page 301. <br />Amend Agenda Nir. Jespersen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78 -10 -377 - AMENDING THE AGENDA TO <br />HEAR i'iRS. JOANNA GALLAGHER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Valento. <br />Ayes (5) Messrs. Jespersen, Valento, Nadeau, Hanson and DeBace. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 4, Page 302. <br />Old Little Mrs. Joanna Gallagher appeared before the Council indicating the <br />Canada interest of the Historical Society of Little Canada and the Fifty -Five <br />School Plus Club in the Old Little Canada School Building being purchased <br />by the City for community use. Mr. DeBace mentioned that the Fire <br />Department was also interested in the Old Little Canada School building. <br />The Council felt that a letter should be sent to the school district <br />outlining the City's interest in purchasing the building. <br />Mr. Hanson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 78 -10 -378 - AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK <br />TO SEND A LETTER TO THE SCHOOL DISTRICT INDICATING THE <br />INTEREST OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA IN PURCHASING THE <br />OLD LITTLE CANADA SCHOOL BUILDING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Jespersen. <br />Ayes (5) Messrs. Hanson, Jespersen, DeBace, Nadeau and Valento. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. I, Page 302. <br />Page -9- <br />
