The Council recently
had passed a resolution authorizing the sale of the pick -up truck,
therefore, that resolution will have to be rescinded.
Mr. DeBace introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 78 -10 -380 - R:ESCINDING RESOLUTION
N0. 78 -8 -270 WHICH AUTHORIZED THE SALE.OF THE CITY'S
OLD PICK -UP TRUCK
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Nadeau.
Ayes (5) Messrs. They have decided to
eliminate two stalls from the garage. This will enable the garage
to be placed on the lot in a manner avoiding some bad soil and will
reduce not only the building costs but also excavating costs. Mr.
DeBace felt that the City should again ask for bids with the above
changes taken into consideration, and with the excavating costs
included in the bids. Mayor Valento stated that he was in favor
of a metal building for the maintenance garage instead of a block
building. Mayor Valento mentioned that several other communities
have metal buildings for municiple garages and that they are attractive
and functional. Councilman DeBace stated that the neighborhood would
not allow a metal building on the site chosen for the garage.
Mr. Ranson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 78 -10 -381 - REJECTING THE BIDS ON THE
PROPOSED MAINTENANCE GARAGE
The foregoing "resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Jespersen.
Ayes (5) Messrs.
