MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />SEPTEMBER 27, 2006 <br />Mr. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006-9-227 - AN INTERIM ORDINANCE <br />EXTENDING A MORATORIUM ON THE ISSUANCE OF PERMITS <br />FOR ADVERTISING SIGNS, AS DEFINED IN THE ZONING CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANACA, AND THE ISSUANCE OF <br />PERMITS FOR ADVERTISING DEVICES IN ADJACENT AREAS, <br />ADJACENT TO THE RIGHT-OF-WAY OF AN INTERSTATE OR <br />TRUNK HIGHWAY, AS DEFINED IN MINNESOTA STATUTE <br />173.02, WITH THE CITY OP LITTLE CANADA, UNTIL <br />SEPTEMBER 26, 2007, BASED ON THE FINDINGS THAT THE <br />LEAGUE OP MINNESOTA CITIES HAS NOT YET COMPLETED <br />ITS STUDY AND RECOMMENDATIONS AS TO STATE LAW <br />REVISIONS OR A MODEL ORDINANCE RELATIVE TO THIS <br />ISSUE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />GAS Mr. Daniel Ross appeared before the Council informing them that he is <br />DISPENSING purchasing the Citgo Station at 300 Little Canada Road, and is requesting <br />& TOBACCO the transfer of the Gas Dispensing License and issuance of a Tobacco <br />LICENSES - License to him for this business. City staff reported that the Sheriff's <br />CITGO STATION Deparhnent Background Check on Mr. Ross is satisfactory. <br />Mr. Ross anticipated closing on the property the first week in October. He <br />indicated that Citgo is pulling out of the Midwest market, and will remain <br />the supplier until March 31 s`. After that point, Chere will be a new supplier <br />to the station. <br />Mr. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006-9-228 -APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF <br />GAS DISPENSING LICENSE AND ISSUANCE OF TOBACCO <br />LICENSE TO MR. DANIEL ROSS, CITGO STATION, 300 LITTLE <br />CANADA ROAD <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />19 <br />
