MINUTES <br />City Council <br />(Cont'd.) <br />January 24, 1979 <br />Planning <br />District #3 <br />Planning <br />District <br />Planning <br />District <br />Mr. Licht stated that in Planning District #f3 Midwest was opposed to <br />the expansion of the present mobilehome court. The area is primarily <br />residential and there should be some screening and buffering in <br />this area. Licht recommended that the area remain zoned as is. <br />The Planning Commission endorsed the recommendation of the Planner. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79 -1 -38 - APPROVING THE PLANNING DISTRICT #3 <br />OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AS PROPOSED BY THE PLANNER AND <br />AS APPROVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. DeBace. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, DeBace, Scalze, Hanson and Nadeau. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 5, Page 21. <br />Mr. Licht reported that Planning District `)4 is industrial in use. <br />#4 There is a mobilehome park in the area and they are suggesting that <br />buffering be introduced. The zoning suggested by Midwest reflects <br />the type of uses presently in the area. The Planning Commission <br />endorsed the recommendations of the Planner in District #4. <br />Mr. Nadeau introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 79 -1 -39 - APPROVING PLANNING DISTRICT #4 <br />OF THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AS PROPOSED BY THE PLANNER AND <br />AS APPROVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Mr. Fahey. <br />Ayes (5) Nadeau, Fahey, Hanson, DeBace and Scalze. <br />Nayes (0). <br />Resolution declared adopted. <br />This resolution appears in Resolution Book No. 5, Page 22. <br />Mr. Licht reported that the Planning Commission disagreed with some <br />#5 of Midwest Planning's recommendations for Planning District 9/5. The <br />Planner suggests that Country Drive be zoned B-2 and the balance <br />of the District be zoned R -2. The Planning Commission is recommending <br />to Council that Country Drive remain commercial as it is now from <br />Country Drive east to Conduit and the homes on the west side of <br />Conduit could be zoned RB upon request of the owners with the <br />remaining portion of District #5 being zoned R -1. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Zok, who live on the west side of Conduit stated that <br />they wish to see their neighborhood remain residential, but should <br />Country Drive develop completely commercial, they wished the option <br />of developing their land commercially also. <br />7 <br />
