Lit +le Canada Planning Commission <br />30 January 1979 Page Two <br />For Natural Environment Waters: Lots not served by public sewer shall <br />be at least 80,000 square feet (approximately 2 acres) in area and at <br />least 200 feet in width at the building line and at the ordinary high <br />water mark (for lots abutting a public water). Lots served by public <br />sewer and which abut a public water shall be at least 40,000 square <br />feet (approximately 1 acre) in area and at least 125 feet in width at the <br />building line and at the ordinary high water mark. All other lots served <br />by a public sewer shall be at least 20,000 square feet (approximately 1/2 <br />acre) in area and at least 125 feet in width at the building line. <br />Setbacks for Natural Environment Waters: at least 200 feet from the <br />ordinary high water mark for lots not served by public sewer and at <br />least 150 feet from the ordinary high water mark for lots served by <br />public sewer. <br />Proximity to Roads and Highways: No structure shall be placed nearer <br />than 50 feet from the right -of -way line of any federal, state, or county <br />trunk highway; or 20 feet from the right -of -way line of any town road, <br />public street, or others not classified. <br />The total area of all impervious surfaces on a lot shall not exceed 30 <br />percent of the total lot area. <br />Placement of Roads and Parking Areas: The placement of roads and parking <br />areas shall be controlled in order to retard the runoff of surface waters <br />and excess nutrients. The placement of roads and parking areas shall be <br />controlled by the municipal shoreland ordinance in accordance with the <br />following criteria: <br />No impervious surface shall be placed within 50 feet of the <br />ordinary high water mark. <br />Where feasible and practical, all roads and parking areas shall <br />meet the setback requirements established for structures in NR 83 <br />(c) (2) in the Minnesota State Regulations under Municipal Shoreland <br />Rules. <br />Natural vegetation or other natural materials shall be used in order <br />to screen parking areas when viewed from the water. <br />
