MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 24, 2006 <br />property owner thaC acting on the revocation will not jeopardize the <br />criminal proceeding. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006-5-725 -CALLING FOR A PUBLIC <br />HEARING FOR WEDNESDAY, JUNE 28, 2006 AT 7:30 P.M.TO <br />CONSIDER THE REVOCATION OF THE CONDITIONAL USE <br />PERMIT FOR 3765/3167 SPRUCE STREET, VALOR ENTERPRISES, <br />AS RECOMMENDED BY CITY STAFF <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />RECREATION The City Administrator reviewed the report dated May 19, 2006 relative <br />SOFTWARE to the purchase of recreation software that would allow for on-line park <br />AND and recreation registrations as well as acceptance of credit cards for these <br />CREDIT payments. The Adminish~ator reported that three vendors were considered <br />CARD for this service enhancement, and staff is recommending Active Network. <br />PROCESSING He noted that the Active Network software is slightly more expensive, <br /> however, their software provides additional enhancements in terms of <br /> records management and report generation. The efficiencies gained with <br /> the Active Network software will more than offset the additional cost. <br />Keis asked about the ability of this software Co expand the City's <br />capability to take credit card payments for other services. The City <br />Administrator noted that based on the City's study of this issue and <br />workshop discussion, the focus was limited to the parks and recreation <br />area. If a decision is made in the future to take other payments by credit <br />card, staff will have to conduct additional studies and perhaps come up <br />with a new approach. <br />Keis questioned the need for a two year contract with Active Network. <br />The City Administrator indicated that he would determine if there was <br />lesser option.
