City Council
`larch 23, 1033
Cary Smith 1
(Cont.)
Mr. Licht stated that any approval at this point would be premature.
Licht also stated that he felt a development contract would be needed
between Mrs. Corbo and Yr. Smith. The contract will outline everyone's
responsibilities in the matter.
Mr. Forsberg stated that in a few years, the property will be
developed and the City will have to deal with Mr. Smith's 4 inch
sewer 1i.ne.
Mr. Fahey stated that the Council previously indicated that Mr. Smith
would have to put in a sewer line that could be connected to the other
property in the area. Also, Mr. Smith would have to pay any future
road assessment.
Mr. Carley. stated that there was not much difference between the
cost: of a 6 inch line and a 4 inch line.
Fahey stated he would be in favor of a 4 inch line installed to City
standards that would allow for future expansion of the system and
Mr. Smith would also have to he agreeable to paying any future
road assessments.
Mr. Sweeney pointed out that there may be a question of the competence
of the property owner.
Mrs. Nardini stated that she thought this was something that the
people were going to work out. Scalze stated that they were to pay
for it also.
There was a question that because the two proposed lots on the Caplette
property appeared on the easement drawn up by the Engineer that this
would indicate they were approved lots. The Engineer disagreed with
this.
Mrs. Scalze asked if Mr. Smith would control the 4 inch sewer line.
The Engineer stated that the line would become the property of the
City.
The City Attorney stated that the easement only indicates the location
of the sewer easement and would not have any bearing on the two
Caplette lots.
Mr. Forsberg expressed concern that the City was allowing a home to
be built on an inaccessable lot. Mr. Smith stated that the road is
tared to the lot he wants to build on.
Mrs. Scalze pointed out that the City created the lot and the lot
split is already approved.
The Attorney asked who will pay for the 4 inch sewer line. Mr. Fahey
replied that Ir. Smith will pay for it.
Page 112
