City Council
Cary Smith
(Cont.)
Dr. Forsberg asked who would be responsible for plowing the road
to the Smith house. The Clerk replied that this is a private driveway
and it would be Mr.. Smith's problem. The City Engineer agreed.
Cable TV The City Attorney explained to the Council the contents of the
proposed ordinance amending the City's previous Cable TV ordinance.
Agenda The ordinance is amended to include in the definition of City the
Item No. 11 provision for an authorized representative of the City.
The City Attorney also suggested that the Council by resolution
delineate the authority of Mr. Tarnowski.
?1r. Fahey introduced the following ordinance and moved its adoption:
ORDINANCE N0. 205 - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
CERTAIN SECTIONS OF NO. 195 FRANCHISE ORDINANCE'
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA
The Foregoing ordinance was duly seconded by Mr. Hanson.
Ayes (5) Fahey, Hanson, Scalze, Forsberg, Nardini.
Nayes (0).
Ordinance declared adopted.
Mrs. Nardini stated that she feels there are some things that Mr.
Tarnowski should report to the Council on. Nardini stated that she
was not concerned about the little items.
Mr. Forsberg pointed out that Mr. Tarnowski was the only member of
the Cable TV commission that was not a member of a City Council.
Mr. Fahey stated that this fact did not bother him.
Mrs. Nardini pointed out the fact that in the past Mr. Tarnowski
has not always followed the directions of the City Council.
Mr. Forsberg stated that the reason he pointed out that Ir. Tarnowski
is not a member of the City Council is that other cities are probably
more in contact with this matter due to the fact: that a councilperson
is a member of the Commission.
Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 83 -3 -130 - DECLARING THAT MR. DON
TARNOUSKI HAS AUTHORITY AS THE CITY'S CABLE. TV
REPRESENTATIVE TO THE NORTH SUBURBAN CABLE TV
COMMISSION TO APPROVE TECHNICAL CHANGES REGARDING
CO'1PARABLE OR BETTER EQUIPUENT OR COUPONENT S AND
ANY OTHER CHA'GES RELATED TO THE CONSTRUCTION PHASE
07 THE CABLE TV SYSTEM ARE TO BE APPROVED BY THE
CITY COUNCIL Page 114
