ORDINANCE NO. <br />286 <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS OF <br />CHAPTER 209, RELATING TO CITY PERSONNEL, <br />OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE CANADA HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. <br />Section 209.100(A) and (B) of the Municipal Code of the <br />City of Little Canada is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />209.100. Legal Holidays. <br />(A) The following holidays will be observed by full time <br />employees: <br />(1) New Year's Day; <br />(2) Martin Luther King's Birthday, <br />the third Monday in January; <br />(3) President's Day, the third <br />Monday in February; <br />(4) Memorial Day, the last Monday <br />in May; <br />(5) Independence Day, July 4th; <br />(6) Labor Day, the first Monday <br />in September; <br />(7) Veteran's Day, November llth; <br />(8) Thanksgiving Day, the fourth <br />Thursday in November; <br />(9) Day after Thanksgiving Day; and <br />(10) Christmas Day, December 25th. <br />When New Year's Day, Independence Day, Veteran's Day, or <br />Christmas Day falls on Saturday, the preceding day shall be <br />observed as a holiday. If one of the four (4) holidays falls on <br />a Sunday, the following day shall be observed as a holiday. <br />(B) Full holiday pay will be granted to all regular <br />employees. Employees must be on active payroll status on the <br />work day immediately preceding and the work day immediately <br />following a holiday to be eligible for holiday pay for that <br />holiday. Permanent part time employees will be granted pro rata <br />holiday pay for each holiday based on the average number of <br />hours worked per week during the eight (8) weeks immediately <br />preceding each holiday and in accordance with the following <br />schedule: <br />PAGE -30 <br />
