Average Hours Worked Holiday Pay <br />Less than 20 0 <br />20 - 23 1/2 Day <br />24 or more 3/5 Day <br />Section 2. <br />Section 209.120(C) of the Municipal Code of the City of <br />Little Canada is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Section 209.120. Sick Leave. <br />(C) Sick leave may be granted only for absence from duty <br />due to an illness or injury of the employee which disables <br />him /her from working. However, up to three (3) days sick leave <br />may be granted in case of death in the immediately family, i.e., <br />spouse, parents, spouse's parents, children, brothers, and <br />sisters, brothers -in -law, and sisters -in -law, and grandparents. <br />Employees may use two (2) days of their annual sick leave in <br />hourly increments for doctor or dentist appointments for their <br />own medical and dental health care. <br />Section 3. <br />Section 209.120(D) of the Municipal Code of the City of <br />Little Canada is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Section 209.120. Sick Leave. <br />(D) Employees who are absent from work and are being paid <br />worker's compensation insurance benefits shall be considered to <br />be working for the purpose of accumulating additional vacation <br />leave or sick leave for up to three (3) months of absence from <br />work. No sick leave or vacation benefits will be earned while <br />receiving compensation payments for time exceeding three (3) <br />months. <br />Section 4. <br />Section 209.120(I) of the Municipal Code of the City of <br />Little Canada is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />Section 209.120. Sick Leave. <br />(I) In lieu of sick leave pay, for any absence not <br />exceeding two (2) days, an employee may elect to take leave <br />without pay or use compensatory time. <br />PAGE-3 1 <br />
