MINUTES <br />Planning Commission <br />August 13, 1987 <br />Slumberland to Slumberland by both the Planning Commission and the City Council. <br />(Cont.) <br />Soil <br />Borings <br />Centerville <br />Road Area <br />Economic <br />Development <br />Committee <br />Adjourn <br />DeLonais agreed noting that in April of 1987 the Council granted <br />Slumberland concept approval. DeLonais noted that final approval <br />for Slumberland needs to come through the Planning Commission. <br />The Planner agreed. <br />Davison asked the status of soil borings in the Centerville Road area. <br />The Planner was unsure of the result of these borings. <br />DeLonais updated the Commission on the results of joint meetings of the <br />Council and Economic Development Committee. <br />DeLonais reported that at one of these meetings he asked how much <br />park land the City was interested in acquiring and was informed that <br />the City is interested in the Johnson /Mostad property, the Capital <br />View outdoor facilities, Spooner Park, and some property in the Center- <br />ville Road area. DeLonais was also informed that the Johnson /Mostad <br />property may not be developed as ballfields as originally proposed, <br />but may be developed as a wildlife area with bike paths and hiking <br />trails. <br />Mrs. Timmons recommended the meeting be adjourned. <br />Motion seconded by Mr. Perlinger. <br />Motion carried 6 - 0. <br />There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 8:33 P.M. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Kathleen Glanzer <br />Recording Secretary <br />Page 7 <br />
