County shall mail written notice to the local governing city. The <br />city shall have thirty (30) days following such notice to report in <br />writing any physical conditions of the pathway that do not meet <br />standards. If, in the opinion of the County Public Works Director, <br />conditions of the pathway do not comply, corrections shall be made <br />to the satisfaction of the local governing city. <br />OPERATION <br />It shall be the responsibility of the city to operate the detached <br />pathway facility in accordance with all local ordinances, rules, etc. <br />applicable to the facility. <br />MAINTENANCE <br />It shall be the responsibility of the city to provide all maintenance <br />of the pathway following receipt of the notice of completion of <br />construction by the County or receipt of County approval for the <br />city to construct a detached pathway. <br />Maintenance shall be described as, but not limited to, patching, <br />seal coating, clearing of tree limbs, opening draingage systems, <br />sweeping, signing, pavement markings and snow removal. <br />It shall be the responsibiity of the city or utility owner to repair, <br />replace or reconstruct any portion of an existing detached pathway <br />disturbed by utility work such as water - mains, sewers, telephone, <br />gas, electric and associated service connections. The County shall <br />provide inspection through its utility department during such <br />activities to insure restoration complies with current policy for <br />utility work within County right of way. <br />
