LIFT The City Engineer reported that the Public Works Department has been STATION experiencing a greaC deal of on-going maintenance aC the Jessica CourC REPAIRS and the County Road B-21ift stations, and their reliability is slipping. Therefore, he recommending that the City request bids for the replacement of these two lift stations similar to the replacement of the Dianna Lane lift station a few years ago. The Engineer recommended that the bids be obtained in a two step process, the first bid request for equipment and the second for replacemenC of existing piping and equipment installation. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2006-6-I4I -AUTHORIZING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR LIFT STATION REPLACEMENT AT JESSICA COURT AND COUNTY ROAD B-2 LIFT STATIONS AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ENGINEER The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. AWARD The City Engineer reported that he advertised for bids for 2006 restoration BID - work. Only one bid was received from Twin City Hydro Seeding in the 2006 amount of $43,174.95. The Engineer noted that the bid is slightly below RTSTORATION his estimate. WORK The Engineer noted that Twin City Hydro Seeding is a local company and has been doing Che City's restoration work for the past few years. Therefore, other restoration companies may not have been interested in submitting a bid. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO.2006-6-142 -APPROVING THE BID FROM TWIN CITY HYDROSEEDING FOR 2006 RESTORATION WORK IN THE AMOUNT OF $43,174.95 AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ENGINEER The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle.
