(M.S. 15.163, <br />Subd. 5.) <br />SECURITY SAFEGUARDS <br />No employee or agent of the city may release <br />any private or confidential data to any person <br />unless that employee is the Responsible Auth- <br />ority or one of his designees, or another person <br />authorized by the Responsible Authority. <br />TYPES <br />The types of records, files, and processes relating <br />to private and confidential data on individuals or <br />non - public and protected non - public data not on <br />individuals retained by this city and the citation <br />to federal law or state statute authorizing this <br />classification are the following: <br />Private or Confidential Data on Individuals <br />1. Personnel data (M.S. 15.1692) <br />"Personnel data" means data on individuals col- <br />lected because the individual is or was an employee <br />of or an applicant for employment by this city. <br />,JPublic data on current and former employees. <br />Except for persons described in paragraph (d), <br />the following personnel data on current and <br />former employees, those who perform services <br />on a voluntary basis, applicants for employment, <br />persons acting as independent contractors, and <br />members of advisory boards or commissions of <br />this city is public: name; city and county of <br />residence; actual gross salary; salary range; <br />contract fees; actual gross pension; the Value and <br />nature of employer -paid benefits; the basis for <br />and the amount of any added remuneration, in- <br />cluding expense reimbursement, in addition <br />to salary; job title; job description; educa- <br />tion and training background; previous work <br />experience; date of first and last employment; <br />the status of any complaints or charges against <br />the employee whether or not the complaint or <br />charge resulted in a disciplinary action; the final <br />disposition of any disciplinary action and <br />supporting documentation; work location; work <br />telephone number; badge number. <br />C> Public data on current and former appli- <br />cants Except for applicants described in para- <br />graph (d), the following personnel data on <br />current and former applicants for employment <br />by this city is public: names of applicants, when <br />certified, if the city has a civil service system, or <br />otherwise determined to be eligible for ap- <br />pointment to a vacancy; veteran's status; rele- <br />vant test scores; rank on eligible list; job history; <br />education and training; work availability. <br />Examples of private data. All other per- <br />sonnel data, including but not limited to the <br />following types, categories, files, and processes, <br />is PRIVATE data on individuals, except pur- <br />suant to a valid court order: data collected for <br />disciplinary proceedings prior to the hearing; <br />
