MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 28, 2006 <br />PUP PERMIT <br />& CUP - <br />2940 RICE <br />STREET - <br />ALL <br />AMERICAN <br />RECREATION <br />preliminary p1aC stage, they will receive notice of the public hearing. The <br />residents were encouraged to continue their involvement in the process. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006-6-149 -APPROVING THE CONCEPT <br />SUBDIVISION CONSISTING OF NINE (9) SINGLE-FAMILY LOTS <br />AS PROPOSED BY MR. PAT JOHNSON SUBJECT TO <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY <br />PLANNER AS OUTLINED IN HIS JUNE 5, 2006 REPORT AND THE <br />RECOMMENDATIONS OI' THE PLANNING COMMISSION, AND <br />SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE CITY'S SUBDIVISION <br />ORDINANCE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mayor Blesener opened Che Public Hea~•ing to consider a Planned Unit <br />Development Permit allowing indoor sales and display of small <br />motorcycles, ATVs, and scooters as well as a Conditional Use Permit <br />allowing a retail motor vehicle sales license (indoor only) for All <br />American Recreation at 2940 Rice Street. The City Planner and the <br />Planning Commission recommended approval subject Co compliance <br />with the recommendations of the City Planner as outlined in his June 5"' <br />report, that there be no service center for these vehicles at this location, <br />there is no test driving of these vehicles at this location, and the size of the <br />vehicles is limited to 500 cc's. <br />Jerry Schiltz, All American Recreation, appeared before the Council and <br />indicated that he was in agreement with the recommendations of the City <br />Planner and Planning Commission. Schiltz asked if All American would <br />be allowed Co uncrate the vehicles at 2940 Rice StreeC and conduct dealer <br />prep/assembly. <br />Blesener asked All American's plans if sales go well. Schiltz responded <br />that All American would then return Co Che City and ask for the <br />appropriate Amendment to the PUD Permit. <br />Blesener noted some discussion at the Planning Commission meeting that <br />perhaps this was not the type of use the City was looking for in this <br />redevelopment area. Blesener indicated that he looked at Che property and <br />it is well maintained. He indicated that he did not have a problem with the <br />]0 <br />
