MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
MARCH 22, 2006
CONSENT Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
AGENDA
RESOLUTION NO. 2006-3-76 -APPROVING THE CONSENT
AGENDA WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING:
*APPROVAL OF THE VOUCHERS;
*RENEWAL OF SAFETY TRAINING CONTRACT WITH
SAFEASSURE AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE THE CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY;
*APPROVAL OF JOINT COOPERATION AGREEMENT RELATIVE
TO COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANTS AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO
EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
ANTIQUE The City Planner reported that he received a call fi~om a prospective
DEALER business that would like to locate at 3182 Country Drive next to Rose
Galleries. The business would be similar to Rose Galleries, and would
store and sell antiques. The Planner noted that the property is zoned
Business-Warehouse, which allows office showroom, warehouse and
some retail use. The Planner noted that the BW District does not
specifically list antique dealers as an allowed use. He asked Che Council
their position on whether or not an antique dealer would fit Che zoning
parameters.
The Planner submitted a letter from the owners of Rose Galleries in
support of this business.
Allan asked about parking. The Planner stated that he has not done an in-
depth analysis of the site, but it appears there would be more than
adequate parking.
Blesener noted that the Rose Galleries use is very similar to this one, and
indicated that he had no problem with the use in the BW District. The
consensus of the Council was in support of the antique dealer use at 3182
Country Drive.
LIQUOR LaValle Pelt that the direction to City staff relative to conducting a liquor
LICENSE license fee study based on building capacity should be withdrawn.
14
