MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 22, 2006 <br />The City Attorney indicated that in addition to the concerns raised by the <br />City Administrator, he would recommend that the Agreements be <br />modified so Chat liability limits of participating agencies cannot be added <br />together, thus expanding the exposure. <br />The City Administrator recommended that the Agreements be approved <br />subject to staff's effort to get the outlined changes enacted. If the County <br />is not agreeable to the changes, the Agreements can be brought back for <br />consideration. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION N0.2006-3-79 -APPROVING THE JOINT POWERS <br />AGREEMENT WITH RAMSEY COUNTY FOR DISPATCH <br />SERVICES AS WELL AS THE COUNTYWIDE PUBLIC SAFETY <br />RADIO SUBSYSTEM SUBSCRIBER AGREEMENT SUBJECT TO <br />THE CHANGES AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR AND CITY ATTORNEY, AND AUTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR TO EXECUTE THE <br />AGREEMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reported that Mayor Blesener has been appointed <br />to the Radio Dispatch Policy Committee. <br />OLD TIRE The Parks & Recreation Director reported that City staff has been <br />HALL reviewing potential improvements to the Old Fire Hall rental space. <br />IMPROVEMENTS He reviewed a report dated March 8, 2006 outlining the improvements and <br />recommending that the 2006 Capital hnprovement Budget be amended to <br />include an estimated $10,575 in improvements. These itprovements <br />include new flooring in the kitchen and serving area, new cabinets, <br />counter top, sink, and appliances as well as some taping and painting. The <br />Director reported that staff will continue to review plans and obtain <br />additional pricing in an efforC to reduce the cost. <br />LaValle asked about the number of rentals of the Old Fire Hall. The <br />Director indicated that he did not have that information with him, but <br />indicated that the rentals have been very consistent, with rentals occurring <br />weekly. <br />16 <br />
