MINUTES CITY COUNCIL OCTOBER 11, 2006 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. EXTENSION The City Administrator reviewed the Parks & Recreation Director's OF memo dated October 9, 2006 requesting that the temporary full-time TEMPORARY position shared by the Parks & Recreation Department and the Public POSITION Works Department be extended for two additional months. This would provide staff additional Cime to evaluate this position, and present a recommendation to the City Council. The Administrator noted that the position has been included as part of the 2007 Budget. Evaluation will occur, and discussion relative to the position will be included as part of the fina12007 Budget discussion. Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2006-IO-242 -EXTENDING THE TEMPORARY, FULL-TIME PARKS & RECREATION/PUBLIC WORKS POSITION FOR TWO ADDITIONAL MONTHS AS RECOMMENDED BY CITY STAFF The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. NUISANCE The City Administrator reviewed the Code Enforcement Officer's report ABATEMENT- dated October 11, 2006 recommending abatement of a nuisance at 2682 2682 Schletty Drive. It was noted that this property is in foreclosure, and SCHLETTY the property owner has not responded to the City's request to cut the grass. DRIVE Several notices have been senC to the property owner in accordance with the City's nuisance abatement procedure. Ms. Allan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2006-70-243 -AUTHORIZING CITY STAFF TO ABATE THE NUISANCE AT 2682 SCHLETTY DRIVE AND ASSESS THE PROPERTY OWNER FOR THE COST OF ABATEMENT PLUS A $50 ADMINISTRATIVE FEE The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
