15. All other provisions and requirements as deemed necessary by the City
Council.
16. The applicant complies with the provisions of Section 921 of the Zoning
Ordinance.
• Issuance of IUP for Off -Site Outdoor Storage.
In 1999 when this property owner was issued a CUP for outdoor storage, the city
code allowed the principal use of open and outdoor storage for "renters" that did
not occupy space within the building. That use was removed from the code
entirely and the currently the 1 -1 zoning district allows a modified version by
Interim Use Permit.
Currently the "rental" outdoor storage on the property is being used by a renter
of another property in Ryan Industrial Park. Therefore, it would comply with the
current code for an Interim Use Permit (IUP) to be granted.
So you are aware, staff has told the property that his "rental" outdoor storage
meets the code requirements for an IUP and that his outdoor storage as a
principal use will be discontinued with this permit However, the property owner
will probably request your consideration to allow him to continue having
"rental" outdoor storage to those that do not occupy space within the building
and to any "renter" even those not located within the City as his current CUP
allows.
If off -site storage is going to be permitted by an IUP, 1 have outlined below the
code requirements.
914.045. INTERIM USES (Requires an interim use permit based upon
procedures set forth in and regulated by Section 921 of this Ordinance.)
A. Off Site Outdoor Storage, provided that:
1. Off -site outdoor storage shall require a license in addition to any other
business or outdoor storage license required by the City.
The property owner will be required to obtain this separate license.
2. This interim use permit may not be utilized for the off -site storage of
motor vehicles or parts of motor vehicles.
The "rental" storage is currently being used by an asphalt paving
company, plus some of that business owner's personal storage items.
There are two party buses and there has been one or two of his passenger
automobiles. This site already has two or three auto - related businesses
