page 5 <br />Personnel Ordinance <br />(b) Full holiday pay will be granted to all full time employees. Employees <br />must be on the payroll on the work day immediately preceding and the work day <br />immediately following a holiday to be eligible for holiday pay for that holiday. <br />Permanent Part Time employees will be granted pro rata holiday pay for each <br />holiday based on the average number of hours worked per week during the 8 weeks <br />immediately preceding each holiday and in accordance with the following schedule: <br />Average Hours Worked <br />Less than 20 <br />20 -23 <br />24 or more <br />Sec. 11: Vacation Leave. <br />Holiday Pay <br />0. <br />1/2 day <br />3/5 day <br />(a) No employee shall be entitled to vacation leave during the first three <br />(3) months of city employment. Vacation leave shall be granted at the end of <br />this time as earned for the three (3) month period. Vacation leave shall not <br />be earned by temporary or student employees. <br />(b) Vacation leave shall be accrued on a monthly basis for each calendar <br />month or major fraction thereof of active service by all regular employees <br />pursuant to the following schedule: <br />For Employees hired on or before Oct. 14, 1981: <br />Length of Employment Leave Days <br />1 to 5 years 10 work days <br />6 to 10 years 15 work days <br />11 years to end of service 20 work days <br />For Employees hired on or after Oct. 14, 1981: <br />1 to 8 years 10 work <br />9 to 15 years 15 work <br />16 years to end of service 20 work <br />days <br />days <br />days <br />(c) No employee shall accrue vacation credit during any period of <br />suspension, lay off, leave of absence or other off- payroll status. <br />(d) Permanent Part Time employees shall accrue pro =rata vacation leave credit <br />in accordance with Sec. 11b and based on the average number of hours worked by <br />such employee per week in accordance with the following schedule: <br />Average Hours Worked Rate of Vacation <br />Less than 20 0 <br />20 -23 1/2 of Section <br />24 or more 3/5 of Section <br />Accrual <br />11b accrual rate <br />11b accrual rate <br />(e) &nployees may accumulate vacation leave to a maximum or ten (10) <br />working days, and carry over such maximum of ten (10) days vacation from <br />calendar year to another. <br />2 °) <br />one <br />
