establish a program of public recreation, and as a part thereof <br />to acquire, equip, and maintain land, buildings, and other <br />recreational facilities, to finance its acquisition, to expend <br />other monies for these purposes, and to enter into a joint <br />agreement establishing the responsibilities of each with respect <br />thereto. <br />Section 2. Establishment of Program. The City and <br />District hereby declare their intentions to acquire, equip, <br />operate and maintain land, buildings, and other recreational <br />facilities for and as a part of a public recreation program, <br />including recreational activities and other civic activities, in <br />accordance with and on the terms and conditions hereinafter set <br />forth. <br />Section 3. Location of Facilities. The expansion of the <br />facilities at the Little Canada Elementary School shall be <br />located on a part of the following described land situated in <br />the City: <br />Such land is presently owned by the District, and the District <br />agrees to lease to the City that portion of it on which the City <br />Addition to the Little Canada Elementary School is to be <br />situated, as provided in the plans and specifications described <br />in Section 4 herein, for the period during which the Little <br />Canada Elementary School facilities are used for school <br />Page 61 <br />
