Page 2 <br />December 12, 1988 <br />Amoco Pipeline <br />Mr. Peterson mentioned that most likely the pipeline would <br />be relocated. The existing pipeline would stay in place <br />and a new line would be constructed. However, he did not <br />see this taking place until sometime in May. <br />I called Ed Oniak of the Federal Pipeline Safety Board in <br />Kansas City. He was not in but the secretary informed me <br />that someone else would call me back. At 1:30 p.m. Zach <br />Barrett called, I told him the problem we were having and <br />one of his main concerns was what existed first, the <br />trailer park or the pipeline, and I informed him that the <br />pipeline was in existence first. He explained that in this <br />matter there is very little the Federal Government can do. <br />However, he is going to research the law, contact Amoco and <br />call me back with some of his results. <br />dl <br />Page 2 <br />
