MINUTES
Planning Commission
September 8, 1988
Conley DeLonais commented that he gets the feeling that the City Council is
CUP interested in rezoning Ryan Industrial Park to IP District.
(Cont.)
The Planner replied that that may be the long -term thinking, however,
such a rezoning would be an expensive process and the City is not
currently proposing such a rezoning.
Costa asked how the building owner will be required to comply with the
Building Inspector's recommendations.
The Planner replied that if the building owner does not comply, he should
not be allowed to rent his building. There are Fire Code and Safety Code
violations, and the Building Inspector is recommending that the building
not be leased or occupied if the Code is not met.
Costa asked what debris was on -site.
Conley stated that he was not aware of any debris other than materials
used by the tenants of the building.
Conley also indicated that he does not intend to retail any cars from the
site; his operation is wholesale in nature.
Conley asked about the Building Inspector's recommendation for an exit
door in a separation wall.
The City Planner assumed that a separation is not required, but if one
were installed, an exit door would be necessary.
Mr. DeLonais recommended that the Conditional Use Permit for William
Conley for auto sales and repair in Ryan Industrial park be approved
subject to compliance with the recommendations of the Building Inspector
as contained in his memo dated September 8, 1988."
Motion seconded by Mr. Davison.
