CONTRACT FOR FIRE PROTECTION <br />1988 <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />RAMSEY COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />* * * * * * * * * * <br />WHEREAS, the City of Little Canada is authorized by law <br />to provide fire protection for all of the property in said <br />City, and <br />WHEREAS, the Little Canada Fire Department, <br />Incorporated, is a volunteer Fire Department, operating as a <br />non - profit association under the laws of the State of <br />Minnesota and owns fire equipment, trucks, etc. for fighting <br />fires, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City of Little Canada and the <br />Little Canada Fire Department, Incorporated, hereinafter <br />referred to as the City and the Corporation, respectively, <br />in consideration of the following provisions and covenants, <br />do hereby enter into this contract and agreement on the day <br />and date hereunto subscribed. <br />1. The City hereby engages the services of the <br />Corporation to answer fire calls and fight fires and <br />generally to provide fire protection to public and private <br />property within the City of Little Canada for a period of <br />one (1) year commencing January 1, 1988 and terminating <br />December 31, 1988. <br />2. The Department agrees to answer all fire calls <br />directed to it by the public for assistance in fighting <br />fires of any nature and description within the legal limits <br />of the City. <br />3. The City agrees to pay to the Corporation for its <br />services during the period above specified, and the <br />Corporation agrees to accept as full remuneration for its <br />services during the said period, the sum of $80,175.00 <br />(Eighty thousand, one hundred and seventy -five and no /100) <br />payable in advance upon the execution of this Contract. <br />Page 9 <br />
