MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 12, 2013 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -6 -102 — AUTHORIZING THE CREATION <br />OFA VETERANS' MEMORIAL PROJECT FUND TO COVER <br />INCIDENTAL EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH THE DESIGN OF <br />THIS PROJECT UP TO A MAXIMUM OF $5,000 AS <br />RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CALL FOR The City Administrator requested a Council workshop meeting to <br />INFO UPDATE receive an information update from City staff relative to progress on <br />WORKSHOP 2013 Goal Action Plans and other miscellaneous items. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -6 -103 — CALLING AN INFORMATION <br />UPDATE WORKSHOP MEETING FOR WEDNESDAY, JUNE 26, <br />2013 AT 6:00 P.M. AS RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY <br />ADMINISTRATOR <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Boss. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CALL FOR The City Attorney reported that there are exceptions to the Open <br />CLOSED Meeting Law which allow the City Council to go into closed session. <br />SESSIONS The Attorney recommended that a closed session be called under the <br />Attorney- Client Privilege exception in order that he can provide the <br />Council with an update relative to potential litigation by the Brausen <br />Family. The City Attorney reported that the City has been put on notice of <br />a possible claim by the Brausen Family and that they have hired an <br />attorney. <br />The City Attorney reported that the second closed session would be <br />allowed by the Purchase of Real Property exception to the Open Meeting <br />Law. The City Attorney noted that there are four potential sites the City is <br />considering for a new Public Works garage. These are the Buck Blacktop <br />property, the former Brings Onion site, the former Norm's Tires site, and <br />the Precision Tree property. If an actual purchase is made of one of these <br />sites, the details of that purchase would then become public. <br />Boss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />7 <br />
