ORDINANCE NO. a ,; Y <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 903.110. SIGNS <br />OF THE ZONING CODE OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE <br />OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA. <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF LITTLE CANADA HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. <br />Section 903.110 of the Zoning Code of the Municipal Code of the City of <br />Little Canada is hereby amended by revisions to and addition of the following <br />subsections: <br />903.110.B.1.e. Holiday Signs. A holiday sign as defined by this <br />Ordinance may exceed the sign area maximums specified <br />by this Ordinance for the district within which the <br />sign is located. Said signs shall not, however, exceed <br />size limitations for window signs as allowed by this <br />Ordinance. Holiday signs shall be displayed no longer <br />than forty -five (45) days and shall be removed within <br />two (2) days following the holiday. Holiday signs <br />shall not contain any advertising or business identi- <br />fication. Unless approved by the City Council, holiday <br />signs shall be located on private property and within <br />setback limitations defined by this Ordinance. <br />903.110.B.1.h. Directional /Informational Signs. <br />i. On- Premise Signs. Shall not be larger than four <br />(4) square feet. The number of said signs shall <br />not exceed four (4) unless approved by the City <br />Council. <br />ii. Off- Premise Signs. Said signs shall be limited to <br />situations where access is questionable and /or con- <br />fusing and resulting traffic safety may be jeopardized <br />or traffic inappropriately utilizes residential, minor <br />streets. Said sign shall require a conditional use <br />permit as approved by the City Council. The size <br />of the sign shall be determined by the City Council <br />and shall contain no advertising. <br />903.110.C.4. Temporary use of portable signs, search lights, banners, <br />penants, window signs in excess of that established below, <br />and similar devices shall require a license pursuant to <br />Section 903.110.F. of this Ordinance. A license shall not <br />be issued for more than ten (10) days nor shall a license <br />be issued within thirty (30) days from the termination date <br />of a prior license. In no case shall licenses for one use <br />exceed thirty (30) days per calender year and no temporary <br />sign license shall be granted for any given property while <br />another temporary sign license is in effect. Temporary <br />signs shall be removed from display immediately upon lapse <br />of license. Said signs shall be at least five (5) feet from <br />the property line. <br />903.110.C.10. a. Except as provided below, in no event shall the size <br />of the interior window signage exceed thirty -three <br />(33) percent of the entire window area of the one <br />side of the building upon which said signs shall be <br />displayed. <br />24 3 <br />tr;®2un{q <br />Jut 1984 <br />CITY OF <br />,LITTLE CANADA <br />
