Wheelock Parkway St. Paul, Minnesota 55101 RE: Little Canada - Carle Landscaping File No: 758.09 - 83.06 Dear Jerry: On May 2nd, I had the opportunity to conduct a site inspection of your property relative to the storage area to be located in the northwest corner of the property. My conclusion is that this area should be screened with a solid wood fence and plantings. Screening does not have to exist on the west side of this area as the natural landscape tends to screen and buffer this portion of the storage site. With regard to the storage area, I will point out to you that the condition of your development approval was that equipment be stored in areas which are, in fact, screened. While observing the site, I noted a large snow blade parked along the road, which also appeared to be within the required front yard setback. If this is the case, this is an ordinance violation. The blade should be moved to a screened area along with the other equipment. It also appeared that there were other materials being stored within the required front yard right -of -way. While I did not check this in detail, I will be asking Mr. Locke to make note of any such non - approved items. I would urge you to make sure your operation, ini the long term, complies with the stipulations of approval. The City Council has expressed an extr concern for this industrial area of the City and up the mess which presently exists.
