is
MINUTES
Planning Commission
May 10, 1984
Drake Plat
Stockness
Conditional
Use Permit
The Planner reported that the Drake plat is before the Commission as
previous approval of the plat lapsed due to a legal battle and not
the fault of the applicant.
The Planner recommended approval subject to submission of the necessary
materials for the plat.
Mr. DeLonais recommended approval of the concept of the Drake Plat
contingent upon the recommendations of the Planner contained in his
report of May 2, 1984.
Motion seconded by Mrs. Kingsbury.
Motion carried 6 - 0.
Mrs. Stockness appeared before the Commission requesting a conditional
use permit for outdoor storage in Ryan Industrial Park. Mr. Stockness
reported that they are cement contractors and will be storing forms
and equipment on the back corner of their property.
Mr. DeLonais asked that Mr. Stockness keep the business clean and
commented that the City will begin enforcing the Code in the area.
Mr. Stockness agreed with the Commission that the park was a mess
and commented that they almost did not buy the property because of
this. Mr. Stockness requested that the City make the rest of the
property owners in the park comply with Code.
Mr. Stockness also commented that they would like two driveways on
their property. Mr. Licht pointed out that this requires a public
hearing and there is not sufficient time to make the next Council
meeting. Mr. Licht did not think that the request would delay
construction of the building.
Mr. Herkenhoff also asked the building owners to keep the area clean.
Mr. Stockness referred to the Planner's report which called for
surfacing of the storage area. The Planner replied that surfacing
also referred to gravel.
Mrs. Kingsbury asked if the driveways could be gravel also. The Planner
replied that this subject will be brought up to the Council shortly.
Mr. DeLonais recommended approval of the conditional use permit for
outside storage subject to the recommendations contained in the
Planner's report.
Motion seconded by Mr. Herkenhoff.
Motion carried 6 - 0.
Pane -4-
