MINUTES
Planning Commission
Feb. 2, 1984
House The Planner asked if there were drainage problems on the lot. The
Relocation Building Inspector replied that there is a swan on the back of the
(Cont.) property.
The Planner stated that under Code, the Engineer should review the
site plans and topos.
Mr. Herkenhoff asked if the house fit in with the other dwellings in
the neighborhood. The Planner felt that it reasonably fit in.
Mr. Herkenhoff asked if the lot size presented any problems. The Planner
replied that it did not as long as the house was properly placed.
Mr. Collova informed the commission that the houses in the area are
all over 15 years old with the exception of one.
Mr. DeLonais recommended approval of the conditional use permit for
house relocation requested by Mr. Rick Collova as long as the proposal
meets all City Codes.
Motion seconded by Mrs. Kingsbury.
Motion carried 8 - 0.
LeMay Plat Mr. Lee LeMay appeared before the Council requesting preliminary and
final plat approval. Mr. LeMay explained the location of his proposal.
The Planner explained that the reason for the extension of the street
in a dead -end was for the future southern extension to connect to
Allen Avenue. The Planner explained that three different proposals
for this development were submitted to the Council, and the one before
the Planning Commission was the one found most acceptable by the Council.
The Planning Commission has some input now on the lay -out of lots.
The Planner stated that it was his opinion that the plan is consistent
with the standards of the City. The only difficulty is the existing garage
on Lot 4, Block 2 as it is too close to the property line.
The Planner suggested that Mr. LeMay be required to post some security,
for exampleS2,500, for the relocation of this garage in a reasonable
period of time. This will give the City the power to go in and do it
should Mr. LeMay fail to do so.
Mr. LeMay stated that he had no objection to the removal of the garage.
The Planner also reported that the southern leg of the street will have
a temporary cul -de -sac until such time as the street is extended. This
will not effect the setbacks for the adjacent lots. The cul -de -sac
will be 60 feet.
Pane -2-
