MINUTES Planning Commission April 12, 1984 Kimmes Proposal frontage normally found in a E -3 zone. Licht stated that there are a lot of buildings and activity on a fairly small piece of property. Licht did say that the use of the property is not being intensified under the proposal, but just being housed. Mrs. Timmons asked if the garages were approved, if the current parking in the front of the building could be eliminated. The Planner replied that the City could require this under a PUD. Timmons stated that she would not want to add four garage stalls without eliminating parking up- front. Mr. Kimmes asked how this could be controlled. 'ors. Timmons suggested that a site plan and more detail should be submitted by Mr. Kimmes. The Planner agreed that a detailed site plan with topography would be helpful. Mrs. Timmons stated that she would like feedback from the neighbors on these kinds of proposals. Nardini stated that the City could have a public hearing for the Planning Commission and one for the Council. Mr. DeLonais agreed that it is hard to act on certain proposals without citizen input. Mr. Licht stated that this will effect time submissions and will ensure that the Planning Commission gets information early. Notices for the hearings will also have to go out earlier. Mrs. Timmons stated that she was opposed to adding a four -stall garage on these two lots for four units. Timmons did not feel it was necessary to have 9 garages for 4 units. Timmons pointed out that it is a residential use regardless of the 8 -3 zoning. Timmons felt that was too much for this property. Mr. DeLonais recommended action be tabled on the Kimmes proposal until Mr. ':Gimmes can work with the Planner for an acceptable solution. Motion seconded by Hr. Ducharme. Motion carried 9 - 0.
