MINUTES
Planning Commission
July 13, 1989
Country
Drive
Rezoning
(cont.)
Boosalis
Prelimi-
nary Plat
Mr. Gagne stated that he does not want apartment buildings
on the property. Mr. Gagne indicated that the property
should be left B -3 and then the City could allow special
uses on the property. Mr. DeLonais asked if Mr. Gagne would
object to businesses such as Sailboard Warehouse or Arden
Fasteners going into the area. Mr. Gagne indicated that
that is what he would like to see in the area.
Mr. Grittman indicated that B -3 does generate more traffic
than the other proposed zonings. Mr. DeLonais informed the
public of the uses under each of the zonings.
Mr. Pedersen moved that the Commission recommend that the
property be rezoned to PUD.
Motion seconded by Ms. Drabik.
Motion carried 6 - 1.
Mr. Grittman indicated that Mr. Boosalis could not attend
the meeting, but would prefer that the Commission take
action on the matter. Mr. Grittman indicated that
Mr. Boosalis was asking the Commission's approval of the
redesign of what has already been approved which only
affects the residential portion. Mr. Grittman stated that
the previous plan showed a street going in at the east
cul -de -sac and then going west. Mr. Grittman stated that
the street has now been flip flopped since it would be less
expensive; Boosalis would only have to buy out one house
instead of two.
Mr. Grittman indicated that the drainage problem has been
worked out; however, where the water is going to come from
has not been worked out.
Mr. Costa moved that the Commission recommend approval of
Boosalis' revised preliminary plat.
Motion seconded by Mr. Herkenhoff.
Motion carried 7 - 0.
Mac's Mr. Grittman indicated that a requirement of approving the
Models Text conditional use permit was that the radio - controlled vehicle
Amendment track be added as an allowable commercial recreational use.
Mr. Grittman stated that the only issue here is to make the
text amendment valid.
Page 5
