o Water body clasification - Each body of water in a community <br />is assigned a management classification based on function <br />use rather than biological nature. <br />o Changing land use - Watershed's are analyzed for existing <br />and anticipated land use conditions. <br />o Environmental consensus - Review and analysis of water <br />quality, erosion and sedimentation control. <br />The plan for a particular community will be altered to meet <br />specific community needs as well as the goals and policies of the <br />applicable water management organizations. A framework for the <br />management structure is established based upon general <br />recommendations and the communities goals. Assistance is <br />provided to communities for the development of management <br />strategies ordinance review, regulation guidelines, objectives <br />and overall program maintenance. <br />Finally, SEH staff can assist with capital improvement <br />programming that identifies problem and solutions and the <br />corresponding implementation schedules and costs. <br />SEH has recently provided these services to the following <br />clients: <br />o Roseville, MN o Vadnais Heights, MN <br />o Oakdale, MN o North St. Paul, MN <br />o Shoreview, MN o East Mississippi W.M.O. <br />In addition, SEH has completed numerous hydrologic studies and <br />drainage facility designs. <br />ANOKA COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />An 850 -acre urban watershed was analyzed using TR -20 to recommend <br />detention basin improvements and outlet control structures <br />necessary to reduce local flooding problems. The study was <br />necessitated by the construction of CR 116. <br />Page 9 <br />
