MINUTES <br />Planning Commission <br />August 10, 1989 <br />Iisakka agreed that this may be true, and reported that the <br />biggest reason that the front of the Slumberland side is not <br />sodded is that Yorkton has been slow to get black dirt to <br />the site. <br />Costa suggested that either semis be unloaded inside the <br />Slumberland building or some type of masonry wall be <br />considered to screen the view of the loading docks from the <br />residential property to the south. <br />Hyland stated that the original plan before the Council <br />called for a berm to screen the view of the loading dock <br />area,: <br />The Commission discussed the condition of the property in <br />more detail and it was felt that action on the Slumberland <br />application should be tabled pending more information as <br />well as to give Slumberland an opportunity to clean up the <br />site. <br />Bendel recommended that action on the Slumberland plan <br />review and Conditional Use Permit be tabled until the next <br />regular Commission meeting pending submission of a complete <br />landscaping and screening plan and in order to provide <br />Slumberland time to provide evidence of improvement to the <br />existing condition of the site. <br />Motion seconded by Pedersen. <br />Motion carried 7 - 0. <br />The Commission noted that this matter will be on the agenda <br />of their September 14th Seeting. The Planner stated that he <br />will have the building inspector inspect the site prior to <br />that meeting and submit a report to the Commission. <br />DEBACE Jeff DeBace appeared before the Commission requesting( <br />CUP approval of a Conditional Use Permit to move an existing <br />GARAGE garage from the Dick & Mary's site on Rice Street to 138 <br />RELOCATION County Road C. The garage is 26 feet by 30 feet and is <br />stucco. DeBace reported that the garage can be located on <br />the site without the need for any variances. <br />The Planner reported that he had no problem with the <br />request. However, pointed out that Mr. DeBace needs to move <br />the garage before the Council can take formal action. If <br />the Commission approves, the Planner recommended that he <br />Page 10 <br />
