MINUTES Planning Commission August 10, 1989 The Planner suggested that the City Engineer review the situation and if he feels the existing cul -de -sac and right -of -way are necessary, then he would be satisfied. Johnson again stated that the cul -de -sac was adequate and pointed out that Ramsey County plows it and they have had no problems. The City Planner also suggested that the City Engineer may recommend utility easements along lot lines as part of any subdivision approval. Mr. Herkenhoff recommended approval of the Greg Johnson subdivision request for property at 329 Savage Lane as submitted subject to the dedication of additional road right -of -way if determined necessary and subject to the recommendations of the City Engineer, Motion seconded by Mr. DeLonais. Motion carried 7 - 0. Johnson again asked who would pay to have the cul -de -sac enlarged. The City Planner stated that he is not proposing that the cul -de -sac be enlarged at this time, just that additional right -of -way be acquired, if determined necessary by the City Engineer. The Planner stated that the cul -de -sac would not be enlarged, most likely, until such time as the road would be further improved. ST. CROIX Todd Huebscher, representing St. Croix Screen Print, SCREEN appeared before the Commission requesting approval of a PRINT conditional use permit for the expansion of their existing facility. Huebscher reported that they are proposing to add production, warehouse and additional office space. Costa asked if additional parking was necessary. The City Planner replied that St. Croix Screen Print would need one additional parking space to meet parking requirements. DeLonais asked if there were many semis coming and leaving from the site. The City Planner replied that the site has adequate room for semis. Page -2-
