July 3, 1989 <br />Donald Valento <br />636 Labore Rd. <br />Little Canada, MN 55117 <br />Dear Don: <br />We have been having trouble with Lunda Construction ever since <br />they did the road construction on Little Canada Road last summer. <br />When they installed the first apron at the top of our driveway, <br />they left a large, sharp piece of metal sticking up and my <br />husband torn his tire when trying to pull into our yard. He <br />immediately when up to their construction trailer and spoke to <br />Mike Peterson who was in charge of the project and showed him <br />the tire and the sharp metal. We also submitted pictures of <br />the metal and the bill for $97.00 from Norm's Tires to replace <br />the tire that was destoyed. They kept saying that they would <br />take care of this matter. Later they tore out the whole apron <br />and replaced it with one that was not sticking way up in the <br />air. <br />We also have asked them to replace the survey markers that they <br />removed when they dug up Little Canada Road. We had just had <br />a survey done before they started the construction and they were <br />suppose to have these markers replaced after the work was com- <br />pleted. They never did it. <br />Please see the attached letter that I wrote them on May 8, 1989 <br />regarding this matter. I have also made many phone calls to <br />their Hastings office to no avail. The last time I spoke to <br />them was on June 20, 1989. The secretary first told me that I <br />would have to speak to Mike Peterson. After I expained that <br />he does not return my calls, she talked with someone named Dennis <br />there in the office and came back to the phone and said that <br />he was going to send the pictures of our driveway to their in- <br />surance company immediately and said nothing about the survey <br />markers. This secretary did not even take my name so I'm sure <br />that nothing was done about it again. <br />In addressing this complaint to you, I would appreciate it if <br />you would call them and see if you can get them to take care of <br />both of these matters.
