MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
November 9, 1989
DeLonais asked the appearance of the exterior of this
display.
Wesch replied that the display would have the same
exterior appearance as a home. The display would be
two separate rooms with decking on each room.
Costa asked the current location of this display.
Wesch replied that it is in the cyclone- fenced area of
MN Mini - Storage. Wesch stated that he would like to
get the display out where it is more visible. Wesch
did not believe the appearance of the display will
detract from the area.
The Planner stated that if this CUP is approved, the
City would be saying that in the BW District, a
business can do an outdoor display of the product they
deal in.
Drabik asked if the display would fall under the
category of accessory building.
The Planner stated that the display is not a building
that is accessory to the property.
Costa asked the length of time Wesch has been in
business in Little Canada.
Wesch replied that he has been in business in the City
since 1980 and at this particular location for two
years. Wesch stated that he was receptive to
conditions being placed on the CUP and if he does not
abide by those conditions, would expect the CUP to be
revoked.
Pedersen stated that he has problems with the display
sitting outside the mini - storage, pointing out that
they are two different types of structures.
Wesch replied that there is already a mixture of uses
in the area.
Pedersen felt the long -term goal of the City would be
to make the area uniform, not add to the
non - conformity.
Wesch suggested that the CUP be approved, and if he
does not comply with the conditions of the CUP, it
could be revoked.
Page 4
