MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 26, 2013
currently there is a chain link fence with slats. Fischer acknowledged that
he will need to landscape in front of this fence, and indicated that he had
questions relative to the number and type of landscape materials he should
use. The City Planner replied that he and the Code Enforcement Officer
would work with Fischer to ensure adequate landscape screening.
With regard to the IUP for Off -Site Outdoor Storage, Fischer reported that
years ago he was allowed to lease to non - Little Canada businesses.
Fischer acknowledged that the Code has since changed and given the
changes he is proposing to the property, he is required to comply with the
current Code.
Blesener asked about the CUP for Auto - Repair Major. The City Planner
reported that this was included given there are auto mechanics operating in
the building and to ensure that the property is in compliance with the
Zoning Codes. The City Administrator indicated that there were concerns
that the previous CUP for Auto- Repair Major lapsed.
Blesener asked about the CUP for Proof of Parking. The City Planner
pointed out that in this case it has been shown that given the use of the
property, the amount of required parking under the Code is excessive. The
CUP allows the property owner to put that portion of the property to
another use. However, should it become evident that this required parking
is necessary, the outdoor storage use would have to cease and the area re-
established as required parking. Fischer described the required parking
areas that would be retained for both employee and customer parking.
There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on
this matter.
Upon motion by Keis, seconded by McGraw, the public hearing was
closed.
McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -6 -109 — APPROVING AN AMENDMENT
TO CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR OUTDOOR STORAGE
(ACCESSORY USE) FOR 200 -208 RYAN DRIVE, RUSS FISCHER,
SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS
OF THE CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER AS OUTLINED IN HER
MAY 15, 2013 REPORT AND RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE
PLANNING COMMISSION
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
3
