MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
JUNE 26, 2013
Boss introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -6 -113 — APPROVING A CONDITIONAL
USE PERMIT FOR PROOF OF PARKING FOR 200 -208 RYAN
DRIVE, RUSS FISCHER, SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE
RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICER
AS OUTLINED IN HER MAY 15, 2013 REPORT AND
RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour.
Ayes (5).
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
COMPRE- Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider an Amendment to the
HENSIVE Zoning Code relative to Comprehensive Sign Plan. It was noted that the
SIGN PLANS Planning Commission recommended approval of the amendment as
proposed.
The City Planner reported that currently the Zoning Code requires a
Conditional Use Permit for comprehensive sign plans for multi - tenant
buildings. The amendment proposed would change the CUP requirement
to an administrative permit provided that the proposed signage meets the
Zoning Code requirements and complies with the City's Architectural
Guidelines. Any sign plans submitted outside these boundaries would
require a Variance.
Blesener stated that he was in agreement with the amendment as proposed.
He asked if comprehensive sign plans for a new shopping center, as an
example, would then just require an administrative permit. The Planner
stated that that was correct provided that the plan met Zoning Code
requirements and Architectural Guidelines.
There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on
this matter.
Upon motion by Montour, seconded by Boss, the public hearing was
closed.
Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO. 2013 -6 -114 — ADOPTING THE AMENDMENT
TO THE ZONING CODE ESTABLISHING AN ADMINISTRATIVE
PERMIT FOR COMPREHENSIVE SIGN PLANS AS
RECOMMENDED BY THE CITY PLANNER IN HIS REPORT
DATED JUNE 7, 2013
5
