1.5.13. Conduct or arrange for appropriate periodic tests during the <br />course of construction to monitor the quality of materials and <br />workmanship. <br />1.5.14. Conduct in the presence of the City's representative(s) a <br />final inspection of the Project as constructed in sufficient detail <br />so as to determine whether it conforms with the design concept of the <br />project as contained in the Contract Documents, and determine whether <br />it is constructed in accordance with the Contract Documents. The <br />Consultant shall prepare a punch list for the contractor, listing <br />thereon work left to be completed by the contractor. The Consultant <br />shall certify his recommendation for acceptance of the work to the <br />City and then shall forward to the City his /her written approval of <br />the Contractor's Request for Final Payment which shall be signed by <br />the contractor. <br />1.5.15. Review and analyze alleged defects in the Project brought to <br />its attention prior to the expiration of the contractor's warranty <br />period, and report in writing the findings of such review to the <br />City. Such report shall state whether the alleged defect does meet <br />the contract plans, specifications and standards and shall recommend <br />a course of corrective action if one is required. Follow -up on <br />complaints brought to its attention, when requested to do so by the <br />City, during the period of the contractor's warranty. It is <br />understood that in certain situations the Consultant may reasonably <br />be due compensation for these services due to unique circumstances <br />beyond their control. When this situation exists, the Consultant <br />will notify the City of this fact and both parties will attempt to <br />reach a mutually satisfactory compensation arrangement. <br />Page 8 <br />Page 23 <br />
