Mayor Fahey and Members of the City Council <br />June 22, 1990 <br />Page 2 <br />* Liquor Liability for Special Events -- Because we issue <br />temporary liquor licenses for a special event held on City <br />property, the Council may want to review liquor liability <br />requirements for these licensees. Specifically, we should <br />ensure that the City is not assuming any unanticipated <br />exposure as a result of these events. This item would <br />require additional research on the part of the City <br />Attorney. <br />As you can see, other issues need attention regarding the licensing <br />of liquor and beer establishments. Without conducting a detailed <br />review, more points of clarification may be discovered. Therefore, <br />it is my recommendation that the City Council direct the City <br />Attorney's office to conduct a complete review of our liquor and beer <br />licensing ordinances and to recommend revisions to keep us current <br />with State Statutes as well as local needs.
