MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
OCTOBER 11, 1990
The Planner replied that grading and drainage plans are
required to be submitted along with preliminary plat
documents. The Planner noted that in the past the
Commission has recommended approval of preliminary
plats contingent to grading and drainage plan
submittal.
Drabik asked if the City has experienced any problems
doing this in the past. Drabik cited the Centre Place
plat as an example.
The Planner replied that there were problems with the
Centre Place plat even after review of grading and
drainage plans. The Planner noted that he has no
problem with the lay -out of the preliminary plat as
submitted, but is concerned about grading and drainage
information.
Howe reported that he would submit the grading and
drainage information prior to the matter going to the
City Council in two weeks.
DeLonais asked if Howe was proposing front yard
setbacks of 30 feet for the Sunrise Drive lots.
Howe replied that he was. Howe noted that he is only
platting the property involved in the extension of
Sunrise Drive into lots at this time. The remaining
property is proposed to be platted as an outlot. Howe
also informed the Commission that since their last
meeting, the proposal has been changed to strictly
single- family due to concerns raised by residents of
the area.
There was no one from the general public present
wishing to comment on this matter.
Garske recommended approval of the Fredrickshaven
preliminary plat as presented subject to the
recommendations of the City Planner as contained in his
report dated October 8, 1990.
Motion seconded by Costa.
Motion carried 7 - 0.
Page 2
