PAUL, MINNESOTA 55102
TELEPHONE: (612) 298-4451
TELEPACSIMILE: (612) 292-7398
ata
On November 20, 1990, the County Board will review the "Factors Impacting
on the Generation of Overtime in the Sheriff's Department" report and the
recommendations proposed to reduce our overtime liability. If the Board
accepts the report and our recommendations, an additional $106,000.00 vill
be released to us to pay off accumulated overtime and help reduce the
County's overtime liability. This money is over and above the amount
budgeted in 1990 for overtime pay and is for County personnel only.
In the past, the Contract Cities have paid out overtime ac the same rate
as the County. For example, if the County had enough money to pay out 60»
of the total overtime requested, the Contract Cities vould also pay out this
percentage. Using 1990 budgeted funds and the additional $106,000.00, the
County vill be able to pay out the total overtime requested.
One hundred percent to the Cities means to approximately $91,200.00.
In 1990, the Contract Cities budgeted $61,074.00 for overtime pay. In the
first half of this year, $34,901.00 was expended, (This amounted to 52'.
of the total overtime requested). The $26,173.00 balance is $65,027.00
less than needed to pay off the total requested in the second half of
this year.
Page 103
ADULT DETENTION OIViSION (612) 2926050 PATROL OIVISiON (612) 4esa2136
seao
