MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />NOVEMBER 8, 1990 <br />his proposal would hurt property values, but eventually <br />would lead to their increase. The developer stated <br />that a nice - looking office /showroom building would not <br />detract from the residential uses in the area. <br />Bachmeier pointed out that residents of the area would <br />be able to enjoy the site since there would be a new <br />City street that could be used for walking. <br />Bendel pointed out that it has been his experience that <br />the residents near the St. Jude's development have no <br />problems being adjacent to this development. <br />There was no one else from the general public present <br />wishing to comment on this matter. <br />Garske recommended approval of the rezoning from R -1 to <br />Planned Unit Development, concept stage PUD and Plan <br />Review for the office /warehouse development proposed by <br />the Bachmeier Corporation for the property located at <br />177 East County Road B subject to the recommendations <br />of the City Planner as contained in his report dated <br />November 5, 1990. <br />Motion seconded by Pedersen. <br />Motion carried 4 - 1. DeLonais voted against. <br />SLUMBERLAND Mr. John Fitzgerald, representing Slumberland, appeared <br />ZERO LOT before the Commission requesting approval of a zero lot <br />LINE DIVISION line subdivision. Fitzgerald reported that the <br />property division is being requested for financing <br />purposes. Slumberland is seeking separate financing on <br />their addition, and as a result the bank is requesting <br />separate parcels. <br />DeLonais asked if paving has been completed and whether <br />the addition is occupied. <br />Fitzgerald replied that the addition is complete and a <br />certificate of occupancy has been issued. However, <br />Fitzgerald was not sure whether the asphalt had been <br />completed. <br />DeLonais recommended approval of the Slumberland zero <br />lot line subdivision as requested subject to the <br />recommendations of the City Planner as contained in his <br />report dated November 6, 1990. <br />Motion seconded by Pedersen. <br />Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />Page 9 <br />
