POSITION TITLE: Parks, Recreation & Forestry Director DATE: January 1982 <br />Freedom <br />% of Time Priority Tasks to Act <br />10% A 3. Develop the physical facilities at parks W <br />- Prepare, submit and administer grants to <br />State and Federal agencies. <br />- Coordinate with the City Council, Parks, <br />Recreation & Forestry Commission, City staff <br />and consultants, the site plans for all City park <br />and recreational facilities. <br />- Administer and manage all development contracts <br />for work at City parks. <br />- Supervise and approve the construction of all <br />projects on City park property. <br />10% A 4. D:delop and administer a maintenance and <br />operation program for City parks, all other <br />outside City property and associated equip- <br />ment and fixtures. <br />5% <br />W <br />- Develop maintenance standards and a program <br />to implement said standards. <br />- Supervise the maintenance and operation of the <br />parks, recreational facilities, City Hall and <br />other outside City property through the Mainten- <br />ance Supervisor. <br />- Inspect condition of all areas regularly for <br />- `conformance to standards and for health and <br />safety. <br />5. Coordinate a broad based recreational program W <br />for City residents. <br />- Coordinate a recreational program using all <br />available public and quasi - public resources, <br />through joint power agreements and the Community <br />Education Departments of the school district. <br />- Supervise a recreation program through the <br />Assistant Director. <br />- Coordinate the recreational program, maintenance <br />and development projects so that facilities and <br />programs interface. <br />- Plan future capital improvements to provide <br />for program needs. <br />5% A 6. Administer a diseased tree control program.
