KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS (continued) <br />- Considerable knowledge of sociological and psychological needs of community <br />groups and individual citizens. <br />- Considerable knowledge of group interactions and dynamics. <br />- Considerable knowledge of managerial and supervisory skills. <br />- Considerable knowledge of the rules of play for a wide variety of competitive <br />sports. <br />- Considerable knowledge of the needs of people and groups to engage in non- <br />structured leisure time activities. <br />- Ability to promote departmental activities in a manner that will stimulate <br />public interest and participation. <br />- Ability to delegate authority and to plan and supervise the work of personnel <br />in a manner conducive to full performance and high morale. <br />- Ability to prepare, analyze, and administer budgets, prepare reports, and keep <br />records. <br />- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with City <br />officials, employees, community groups and the general public. <br />- Ability to effectively work with citizens, volunteer committees and commis- <br />sions. <br />- Ability to hold public meetings. <br />- Ability to effectively communicate with consultants and other professional <br />advisors. <br />I.
