MINUTES
PLANNING COMMISSION
MARCH 14, 1991
Welch replied that it was his understanding that the
Boss Road right -of -way had been vacated.
Johnson felt the proposed plat as presented was not
complete, and pointed out that the neighbors had no
information on this matter until the public hearing
notice was received. Johnson asked why the developer
did not have a neighborhood meeting to explain the
proposal so that concerns could be worked out prior to
the matter being presented to the City. Johnson
pointed out that residents in the area have a lot of
questions, and stated that she would like to see the
matter continued until a neighborhood meeting could be
held. Johnson pointed out that there are approximately
25 families in the area now, and the developer is
proposing to double that. Johnson felt that there were
many problems that needed to be addressed.
Drabik stated that she has looked at the area and
pointed out that on many of the dead -end streets there
are no turnarounds or signage indicating that the
streets are dead -end. Keis stated that
this is what he would prefer to see so that there is a
second entrance and exit to the area.
Don Roberts was concerned about the existing traffic
problems in the area and reported that there was a
problem with an existing yield sign. Roberts stated
that if the road was run through to the industrial
park, he felt there would be additional traffic
problems.
Jane Haukland stated that it was her understanding that
the right -of -way for Jackson Street ends at her
property. Haukland did not believe the developer had
Page 3
